Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs

Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs

We are also proud to support Bread Tags for Wheelchairs, by collecting and donating bread tags.

By collecting bread tags, this organisation is able to provide wheelchairs to disabled people in need as well as helping the environment by keeping these bread tags out of landfill.

Bread tags are sold to recyclers with all money raised paying for wheelchairs. Approximately 200kg of bread tags = 1 wheelchair.

Our Club’s Collection Point is:

Forerunner Computer Systems
46 North East Road,
Walkerville SA 5081

We are proud to have supported Envision Hands by collecting plastic bottle caps.

Envision Hands is a project to collect plastic recyclable waste destined for landfills and turn it into filament for 3D printers, then making hands for kids.

Plastic bottle tops with the number ‘2’ or ‘4’, have been collected, washed and dried. They have then been donated to a worthy cause. This great project creates prosthetic limbs for children in need, but also helps the environment too.

For more information, please visit Envision.

Please note that Envision have reached over 5 million bottle tops and at this stage do not require anymore. We will keep you updated with further notices as updates are received.

Until further notice, our club will continue to collect plastic bottle tops for Lids 4 Kids but also for our Cubs Club who are making recyclable art to sell with the aim of fundraising for their future projects.

UPDATE: Due to Covid-19, Lids 4 Kids has temporarily suspended collecting plastic bottle caps and we have run out of storage space as a result. Please hold onto your collections and check back for when we are collecting again, once we’ve delivered what we’ve already got stored.
