The Lions Club of the City of Adelaide celebrated another successful year of service, fellowship and achievement at its annual Club Handover Dinner on Monday, 6 July, held at the Skyline Restaurant at Rydges South Park.
Members, partners and special guests gathered to reflect on the past 12 months and recognise the incredible contributions made throughout the year under the leadership of Club President Andrew Stacey.
Congratulations to Andrew on a wonderful year as President, and to your Club Board for your commitment, dedication and leadership. It was a fantastic year of service, projects and achievements, and your efforts have helped strengthen our Club and its impact in the community.
The evening was also an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the outstanding efforts of members through the presentation of Club awards.

The Club was honoured to welcome Hutt Street Centre CEO Chris Burns and his wife Linda as special guests, with Chris sharing his insights as the evening’s guest speaker. The Lions Club of the City of Adelaide has a long-standing association and close relationship with the Hutt Street Centre, and it was wonderful to hear from Chris about the important work being undertaken to support people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage in our community.
Zone Chair John Standingford conducted the official handover ceremony, installing the new Club President and Board for 2026/27. Immediate Past President Andrew Stacey formally handed over the Club Charter, Gong and Gavel to incoming President Sajal Arora, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Club.
Congratulations and best wishes to President Sajal Arora and your Executive Board for the year ahead. We look forward to another year of service, friendship and making a difference together.
In recognition of his outstanding dedication and service to the Lions Club of the City of Adelaide, District 201C1 and the wider Lions movement, President Sajal presented Andrew Stacey with a Distinguished Service Award.
It was a wonderful evening celebrating achievements, recognising members and embracing the future of the Club. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to making the Lions Club of the City of Adelaide the strong and vibrant Club it is today.
