On June 28th 2015, the City of Adelaide Lions Club held its annual handover luncheon at The Regal Park Motor Inn in North Adelaide. The Club was honoured to host special guests the Governor His Excellency the honourable Hieu Van Le AO and Mrs Lan Le. The Governor was inducted as an honorary member of our Club.
Our guest speaker was Mr David Bedson, CEO of the Asthma Foundation of SA who taught us about the seriousness of asthma and the various projects they run in South Australia. The Club presented Mr Bedson with a cheque for over $3,600 to support their project for homeless people with asthma.
Lion Ed Warren was also honoured with an award for his 50+ years of community service with Lions.
