December was yet another busy month for our Lions. The month was filled with bbqs, deliveries, meetings, cakes and puddings.
We started the month off by selling Christmas Cakes & Puddings in Rundle Mall on December 1st. It was great to be back in Rundle Mall after several years’ absence.
On December 3rd, our Lions were out cooking up a storm in support of Can:Do 4 Kids at their annual Christmas party. A day filled with lots of giggles and excitement.
We held our last dinner meeting for 2017 at The Astor Hotel. A lovely dinner with Christmas bon bons and hats to celebrate the festive season. We were educated about The Treasury Building and Adelaide’s Underground Tunnels by Graeme from The National Trust.
We were back selling Christmas Cakes and Puddings in Rundle Mall on Friday December 8th and 15th. A roaring trade.
On December 16th, we joined Nova 91.9 at Dan Murphy’s Blair Athol for Nova Activation to launch the new store. A fantastic day with a sausage sizzle, coffees, chocolates, spin and win wheel and the awesome Nova Casanova Team.
On the evening of December 16th, we supported Fred’s Van for the last time in 2017 at Gawler Place, feeding the homeless and hungry. Lions Christmas Cake was a big hit as always.
We would like to thank all our Lion members, their partners, families, friends, and all the organisations, charities and individuals who we have supported this year, and who have supported us. It has been a great year and we look forward to an even better one in 2018.
