The 29th Annual Lions Children of Courage Awards SA
Our 29th year running these awards and what an honour it is to be able to recognise amazing children alongside the Governor of South Australia. These awards recognise the amazing effort made by children living with a physical and/or mental disability, to better their lives and to enjoy some of the activities that able-bodied children accept as being the norm. The Awards also recognise the love and dedication of the parents as they encourage and support their children to achieve all that they do.
Each child nominated was presented with a special medallion by His Excellency, the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC Governor of South Australia, in the Ballroom at Government House on Wednesday October 3rd, 2018.
The judges for the 2018 awards were Libby Kosmala OAM, Patricia Brougham and Neil Sachse. We sincerely thank them for performing this task again this year, it certainly is not an easy one.
This year, we received twenty-one (21) nominations from a range of organisations, with nominators including physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and many more. Nominations came from across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.

Another truly inspiring event. We look forward to running this project and holding our 30th Lions Children of Courage Awards in 2019.
