It has been a tradition for many many years, decades, that the Governor of South Australia becomes an Honourary Lion member of the Lions Club of the City of Adelaide; our club.
It has been an honour to have His Excellency Hieu Van Le AC as an Honourary Lion Member of our Club during his term as the Governor of South Australia, which can to an end in August 2021. His support of our club, and in particular the Lions Children of Courage Awards has been amazing, and very much appreciated. We have also appreciated the support of Mrs Le.
It was an honour for our President, Petrea Stacey, and Lion Andrew Stacey, to be invited to attend the State Dinner, hosted by the South Australian Premier, Steven Marshall, which was held on Friday September 3rd, in honour of the Governor and Mrs Le. It was an inspiring and special occasion reflecting on the past seven (7) years at Government House.
The new Governor of South Australia is Her Excellency Frances Adamson AC. And it is a pleasure to welcome her as our new honourary lion, and we look forward to working with her during her term.
